Paul Adams, the current area head of Photography, was born and raised in Washington and later moved to Utah to continue his education. He received his undergraduate education at Brigham Young University and his graduate education at Utah State University. After school, he lived and taught in England as a Fulbright Scholar, a competitive scholarship program that promotes international relations and education. In addition to teaching abroad, his professorial background includes Utah State University, The Florida Keys, and now Brigham Young University. Adams has his work featured in the National Portrait Gallery at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C., the Royal Photographic Society, the Moscow International Foto Awards, the London International Creative Competition, and the International Kontinent awards in Izmir, Turkey. His current area of research focuses on alternative photographic processes and digital technologies.
